Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by More appropriate for layered legs The leg loops really don't have enough padding for use in the summer months, but it's a great for the other 3 seasons. Lightweight and versatile to accommodate plenty of gear, especially with ice clippers. Like the haul loop and the webbing ends that won't slip out. October 6, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by The features I like the best is the extra gear loops on the back. This allows for a water bottle and approach shoes. The Aspect Harness is great. I like that it has extra gear loops on the back side. This allows for a water bottle and shoes to be out of your way. However I would like to see more padding. Or start making other harnesses with the extra gear loops. But I use it in all seasons. I thought about the big gun for long routes but it just seams a little much. So I chose the Aspect. I guide in the winter time at Silverton Mountain and in Alaska Heli guiding. So I will use it in AK this up and coming winter. Less bulk for winter is great. September 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by More than adequate all-arounder A great all-around harness, and that's what I was hoping for. While I didn't quite hit the sport climbs in Rodellar it performs great during the winter over layers for ice climbing, as well as sunny splitters or while baking at Smith Rock in the summer. Ice clipper spots thoughtfully located (I can get away with a small or medium, but purchased a medium thinking about layering and fit over said layers, to keep ice clippers where they need to be I have to use the slot in front of both gear loops on my left side, minor inconvenience, if I purchased a small it might have allowed the use of both clipper spots between the gear loops on either side. I'm a 30" waist and as I said, a small or medium fits (medium almost completely cinched tight). March 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Harness but runs small. Great all around harness but runs small. I have a 33in waist so I ordered the large but the harness didn't fit right. Tons of gear loops and comfy to hang in. March 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's a keeper As expected, this harness is quality, as is all Black Diamond gear. What drew me to this harness was its versatility. The fully adjustable leg loops are a must for colder weather, the screw clipper slots are abundantly placed, the long gear loop in the back allows one to store lesser used gear out of the way, and the speed adjust buckles make suiting up a breeze. The padding is not what you might find in a Misty or Metolious harness but it is adequate and streamlined. On the plus side to the padding, it stores in your pack wonderfully on long approaches. Over all I am impressed with this harness. It is a comfortable, durable, and well-rounded piece of equipment. Climb on! January 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good harness As expected the Aspect Harness is a solid piece of gear which does it's job. The prethreaded buckle seem more secure than non prethreaded buckles. To nit pick a little, the gear loops do not seem to hang as far from the harness as I would like making clipping gear on the a little more difficult than my old momentum harness. And as with all BD harnesses the leg loops are a couple of inches too small. If I were to use this harness in the winter I would need to buy 2, a large and an extra large, to mix and match the waist belt with the leg loops. (Which I have done in the past). November 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great All-Arounder! I purchased the BD Aspect harness as a replacement for a BD Chaos harness that had seen it share of rope time. The versatility of the harness was the selling point with easily adjustable buckles to accommodate the various layers of the climbing seasons we have in my home state of Colorado. From high alpine climbs in the summer; clipping bolts at the local sport crag to climbing ice in the winter, the Aspect has helped me do it all. It is light enough to carry on long days in the high country and comfortable enough to hang out in while working a route. I find myself increasingly packing the Aspect for any adventure and leaving my other harnesses hanging in the gear closet. June 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best all-around harness I've found The Aspect Harness does it all. It's light weight and svelte enough for alpine style climbing, yet durable enough for climbing wide at the Voo. Adjustable leg loops make it truly 4 season because I can fit it over several layers or wear it over shorts in the summer. The old ice clipper option on the last harness wasn't very user friendly but that has been drastically imporved in the new model. May 2, 2013
