Introduction du ski Black Diamond Impulse Ti

BD athlete Dorian Densmore skiing in Argentina.

"This ain’t your grandpa’s Black Diamond. The new Impulse Ti 104 core has been completely redesigned, breathing new life into this all-mountain powerhouse. The revamped core is a full poplar layup with a sheet of Titanal that extends from tip to tail. Poplar is an exceptionally stiff wood, providing solid torsional rigidity and power for enhanced edge hold."

"The first impact is one of lightness underfoot, conferring a sensation of a malleable, nimble playful tool that will turn wherever you want it to. Reliable control in both powder and firm snow, the skis delivers a good balance between performance and lightness, meaning it's great for resort skiing as well long ascents in search of fun lines, much like a pure freeride ski... Solid in technical terrain, very nimble through medium- and short-radius turns, they're comfortable in both steep couloirs, powder days in the trees and also hold their own in wind crust when the need arises..."

Fall Line, Gear Guide 2025

"The Impulse we love, now with Titanal metal. It’s not a full sheet of metal, so the ski is still accessible, but the metal, combined with the dampening layer, provides a fabulous ride, as Katie testifies: “Super easy to ski. On-piste it’s a helluva lot of fun, at speed, razzing around, and it’s also fun in the bumps.” Ffion spent a good amount of time on this ski: “I love how it looks. It’s confident on-piste at speed, with loads of purchase when carving, as well as when using rotation to steer. It handles off-piste, choppy snow insanely well, and doesn’t feel catchy, heavy or super wide. It’s fast edge-to-edge and the added stiffness prevents the tip from flapping.”
