"Minimize your impact" is the initiative promoted by Black Diamond aimed at raising awareness on the responsible and conscious way to practice outdoor sport.

Sharing a few simple rules, or rather "good habits", that all people passionate about sport, of any age, specialization and level should follow and share.
Keep your footprint low, take the rubbish with you, respect the people and nature around you and – most important – be a role model for others whether you are a pro trail runner, a passionate climber or a tireless hiker, we all have a role to play in the conservation of our beautiful planet.

Every year, around May, when summer and outdoor season is knocking, and everyone is keen to get outside, we re-launche its initiative and involves its community in projects and events which are the perfect occasion to put into practice the “Minimize Your Impact” movement.

Ticino Gravity — #MinimizeYourImpact

Together we can make the difference.

Leave no marks behind.

It all started 2012 in Fontainebleau our “Chasing the rubbish” event with activating local communities, sharing best practices, and increasing awareness. Black Diamond pushed this initiative for 7 years in that French area. But Fontainebleau is everywhere! In May 2022 Black Diamond helped to re-organized the cleanup event in Frankenjura, in Germany, with a team of employees and some local climbing athletes. Same project, different location, in 2023 in Val di Mello, Italy, and this year, 2024, in Ticino together with Black Diamond’s athletes team.

Our ethos is rooted in the idea that the style in which goals are accomplished is as important as achieving them at all, and this applies as much to our business as it does to our outdoor pursuits. That’s why we have paired an innovative approach to building equipment with a unique approach to running a company—one that champions the conservation, preservation and access to mountain, crag, and canyon environments while minimizing our environmental footprint.
