After finding climbing in the gym as a young teenager, Babsi quickly transitioned to rock climbing and went on to make an ascent of Pura Vida (V12/13, 8A+/8B) in Magic Wood, the hardest boulder climbed by a woman at the time. Since then she has climbed 5.14d/9a and runout 5.14 trad climbs, become the first woman to complete the famed Alpine Trilogy, and has sent five of El Cap’s hardest big-wall free climbs, including the second free ascent of Magic Mushroom (VI 5.14a/8b+).

The New Bouldering Champion
In her first World Cup season, BD Athlete Natalia Grossman clinches the overall bouldering gold and takes silver in lead.
With the poise of a seasoned veteran, Natalia burst on to the scene as THE breakout climber on the world stage. This is what Natalia has to say about her first full World Cup Season… "In the past six months I have accomplished more than I ever thought possible. I am still at a loss for words as I try to process everything that has happened. For now, all I have to say is how grateful I am to have been given this experience. I was able to bond with my team, visit some amazing countries, meet new people, and experience new cultures. I will never forget this season!”

Natalia Grossman was born in Santa Cruz, California, and started climbing at the age of six. Nine years later, she moved to Boulder, Colorado, in order to pursue her climbing career. She knew that she wanted to become a professional climber and that Colorado had multiple resources that could help her achieve her goals.

MARY MCINTYRE: CHANGING COURSE
BD Athlete Mary McIntyre had been planning an expedition for months. She and an all-woman team would set sail from Iceland to explore and ski the remote west coast of Greenland. By late February, however, a novel coronavirus was beginning to spread beyond the borders of China. In the midst of a growing storm, the team set sail, only to return to a world forever changed by a growing crisis.
