Rated 4 out of 5 by Yan Good bindings
These bindings are great for bakcountry skiing. When skiing in damp snow and colder temperature, the ascending system sometimes get iced up. I have the mid stiff cartridge which are good for back country skiing but is not stiff enough when in bound skiing.

Releasable hinge functions the same as an AT set up. No resistance on the uphill. Great performance on the way down.

by Andrew Powerful, simple, and reliable
These bindings provide a perfect balance between touring performance, powerful turn initiation, and simplicity. The under boot cable routing coupled with the ridiculously stiff springs provide a quick and powerful turn initiation even for big skis like the Carbon Megawatt. The tour mode switch works great and seems to not ice up as much as other brands. Icing will happen in certain conditions (which is to be expected), but its really easy to clear any ice and snow accumulation. One of the things I like the most about these bindings is their simplicity and ability to swap/replace parts. BD offers all the goodies to replace worn or broken cables, broken heel throws, and springs. Plus all these components are really easy to swap out. A huge improvement is the 6-hole pattern on the toe pieces. This is an added piece of insurance on long tours or people who like to charge hard and catch some air. Great tele bindings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cathy O1 is THE Tele Binding
Reliable and durable in both quality and performance. Unbeatable for on-mountain skiing and backcountry adventures (for wax and skin tracks). No need to look elsewhere for a binding when new skis are in your future…O1 and done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by David Excellent for all conditions
As a member of the NSP, I make turns on the greenest of the groomers to beyond the ropes of the resort. This setup does it all! And, when I have a day to myself, away from the lifts, the release feature makes this more functional than touring bindings. I don't know how BD could possibly improve on this, but I can't wait to see what they bring next.

Back country skiing made easier. Skinning up hills with a truly free heel. Gotta love it. Thanks BD!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RogerHughes Best option In & Out. Period.
In my opinion the O1 is the best tele binding on the market. It's a burly, big-boot, huge-ski charger for the deepest days and a nimble, no-resistance climber for the skin track. What more could you ask for?

Rated 5 out of 5 by CPark Solid touring bindings
These bindings are solid on the downhills and effortless on the uphills. When touring, the easy toggle to resistance-free walk mode comes in super handy. For charging the downhills, the under-foot cabling design provides awesome power that I wouldn't otherwise get with side-cabling, especially with my small feet. As an added bonus, the O1s are one of the few bindings on the market that go small enough to fit size 23.0 boots!
