The Black Diamond HoodWire Quickpack gives you six of our HoodWire Quickdraws with hot-forged HoodWire carabiners on both the top and bottom. From overhanging clip-ups to frigid alpine ridges, the HoodWire biner's metal hood eliminates snags when cleaning, and the wiregate design lowers the weight and resists freezing in winter conditions. The 14 mm (.5 in) Dynex dogbone provides a light, durable connection, and the StraitjacketTM insert ensures the bottom biner stays in the optimal clipping position.

  • Hot-forged HoodWire carabiner on top and bottom
  • Wiregates eliminate gate whiplash and won't freeze up
  • 14 mm (.5 in) Dynex dogbone is lightweight and durable
  • Straitjacket insert keeps bottom biner properly oriented
  • Package set of six

HoodWire Technology brings keylock functionality to a wiregate carabiner and is now available on our legendary, redesigned Oz carabiner. Its unique, stainless steel wire hood is a simple, strong design that won’t snag when unclipping. The wire hood doesn’t trap debris that could cause an open-gate failure, and protects the nose from wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by good compromise I like the hoodwire carabiners because they are a reasonably light, yet durable carabiner that can be used for sport clipups as well as trad routes. Basically, they arent too heavy to rack up gear with, yet they wont wear out in one season. The hood feature is a clever solution to the wiregate. December 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome. We own two packs of these, our only QD we use and if we need a longer one then we use Hoodwire's on BD slings...I'm seeing a lot folks at the crag with Hoodwire's as well! Thanks BD! October 10, 2013
