Rated 3 out of 5 by Easy change, poor grip Rubber tip is great for silent trekking, and for use in dirt, but has poor grip on slick rock. I intend to craft a chunk of tire rubber and glue it to the factory tip. Will see if that is durable. For now, I am staying with the carbide tip as my all-around tip, since its concave design does have good grip on slick rock. I do like the easy change screw mounting with the wavy shoulder that prevents accidental tip loss, but do not want to carry a pair of pliers in the field to change tips. Black Diamond should offer a lightweight compact tip changing tool. December 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what we needed These tips are for poles my wife received after she severely broke her upper femur. These allow her to walk in the neighborhood and on gentle trails. Excellent product. September 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gets rid of that click click sound on rocks By replacing the tip with the rubber one, silence returns to the hike on rocks. I also find a tad bit more purchase (less slipping) on surfaces. August 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect fit this walking stick is being used by a disabled man who can not use a cane, so the rubber tip is perfect for inside the home. it does not scrape the hardwood floors. it fits perfectly and helps him get around very well. July 13, 2014
