Description

Whether you're cutting test blocks and cleaning sidewalls in a snow pit or sawing tree branches during a tree-well burial, the Black Diamond FlickLock Snow Saw is a must-have for your backcountry toolbox. The saw easily attaches to most Black Diamond FlickLock ski pole shafts for extended reach behind large snow columns, and the durable sheath keeps it from tearing up the inside of your pack.

NOTE: This saw is only compatible with our current Traverse and Expedition ski poles

  • Fits 14 and 11 mm lower pole sections
  • Sheath included

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Saw Lightweight, thin. Cuts well. Stashes in or along the side of your pack very easily. Doesn't fall out of the scabbard on accident. Pole attachment is pretty good. Do be aware that as of this review (12/12/2013) it works with only two ski poles: Traverse, Expedition. I have the 2-piece Traverse, which gives you a longer pole-saw assembly than the 3-piece Expedition. December 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by bomber/sweet I have used this saw on many expeditions, recently in Antarctica while focusing on first ascents in Queen Maud Land. We crafted sweet camps with these saws, they are light, easy to use, and simple. The only snow saw you need. June 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Simple, light and effective I carry this everyday I go skiing. A good saw is essential for isolating columns for stability tests. This one cuts clean, is sharp enough to slice through ice, but won't tear apart your clothing if you accidently nick it. The only beef I have is that it's 5cm too short for my liking and the ski pole attachment doesn't work with all BD poles. But compared to every other snow saw on the market, and I've used them all, this one is the best. June 14, 2013
