Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 star glove Warmest I've owned (in 20 years of patrolling). Flexible, especially after applying the supplied balm. Perfectly sized gauntlets. Thanks. April 7, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Over all pretty dissapointing So I am fairly unhappy with the glove buying experience through Black Diamond. The company sold out of the glove I wanted the (Sm womans Guide glove) in early February, this to me is before winter is even half over and they are already out of stock, I plan on patrolling till May and Ski guiding and mountaineering so BD sold out a good 4 months before the season was over :-( After crossing my fingers and hoping the XS would fit, (which they didnt) I spent my own $ sending them back, and ordered the patrol glove. As far as gloves go its ok, not really warm enough or tough enough for the type of patrolling we do at E***** in CO, but perhaps another mountain that had less of the hard labor, digging, avi control and rope work it might pass as a patrol glove. They might last me a season, my boss told me his pair lasted a whole season too. They don't fit great either, but I didn't have much of a choice size wise, still was loyal to BD and it was the best of what they had available and possibly better than another brand. April 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome glove These things are warm, waterproof and tough. My everyday ski glove but also a goto for belaying and doing rope work while Ice Climbing on cold days. Fluffy enough to keep the hands warm yet nimble enough to tie knots while wearing. March 4, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not up to previous patrol glove quality and fit. Purchased patrol gloves in 2012. These new gloves do not fit as well and are not a match for the quality of the gloves I purchased in 2012. They don' t conform to my hands as the previous glove and the leather is not the quality. The liner does not fit well. February 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Rugged Glove Fit is tight for a XL. A warm weather glove, rugged, use them on rope tows daily. Overall BD gloves fit on the small size. January 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Glove I wore this glove for a week in Jackson Hole. Through variable conditions (blizzard, sunny, 32-0 degrees) the glove performed great. My hands never got cold or wet. The only issue I encountered was during long hikes (30-40 min) in sunny, relatively warm conditions, my hands began to sweat, which is to be expected in a glove this warm. Highly recommended January 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lives up to high expectations I have a older pair of these gloves and they are my go to gloves. High quality materials keep my hands warm and dry and I haven't needed to bring out the duct tape to mend any seams or holes. They are spot on with the temperature rating of 0-30F. Any day it gets below 0 my fingers get cold and I put on my cold weather mittens, and whenever I am out skiing and it gets above 30 I have to take them off because they get too warm. January 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great touring glove! I have been very happy with this glove. I used the online BD sizing chart and the fit I chose is perfect. Articulated fingers give me great finger dexterity. The glove is an all day glove on cold mid-winter days. On warmer days I use a lighter glove for the up and keep the patrol glove for the down or as a back-up. After a full day tour they are a bit damp, but dry out easily at night. Great glove!
