Rated 3 out of 5 by GollyGeebers from Good gloves for day trips. These gloves worked great for the first part of a ski trip. My hands were toasty. Then I built a snow cave that evening and they ultimately got quite soaked. Once they were wet, they never fully dried out, even after hanging them up by a large fire for a couple hours. It's hard to get water in them, but once you do, it's hard to get that water out. This is kind of the eternal dilemma with insulated "waterproof" gear, so I don't think they're faulty gloves, I just don't recommend them for conditions where their waterproofness will be put to a prolonged test. (In that scenario, a solid shell glove + a solid liner glove would have worked way better because, once I got them wet, I could have just pulled them apart and efficiently dried out each piece. I knew that, but this was my first time trying out this material and I was hoping for some magic :) Also a sizing note: The size Large BD liner gloves fit me perfectly, but these gloves seem to run a little small. I can't fully open my hand. If you're close, I'd suggest going a size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eric from Excellent BC touring glove I've had these gloves out a half dozen times in the past two weeks in a wide range of Wasatch conditions, from below zero to rain (sad, I know). Very pleased with their performance as an uphill/downhill glove. Just enough cuff to keep snow and wind out, and they are decent breathers. Not too bulky for zippers and other hand work, warm enough for a 1000ft. decent lap.
