Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent product but Size too small I've just received my APEX Gaiters. Fortunately I read several reviews from this product before i order them, and that helped me a lot. That made me order the Size "L" instead of my regular "M", and for that i am thankful. It is true! THIS GAITER's SIZES ARE SMALLER than they were supposed. I do Alpine activities and I wear the SCARPA PHANTOM Guide Boots size 42,5 (EUR) with some Black Diamond Pants. I decided to try it out! I've wore the pants, put the boots on, and the gaiters barely fit on the bottom. If you wear your pants from the outside of the boot, you will have to fold them a little bit in order to get the gaiters closed. Besides that, they will be pretty tight to the boot, matching perfectly. On the upper part they're a little bit more loose that at the bottom and you will have to adjust them to your leg. Overall, I would say that these Gaiters are TOP product but bare in mind what kind of boots you will wear, what kind of pants and that these sizes are smaller than what they were supposed. Remember! Boot size 42,5 = Gaiter L June 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sized small. I found my large set to be too small. I will have to get the next larger set and hope that my current large fits someone in the family. I am not a large person and have a size 10 shoe/boot. Still the gaiters did not fit around my lower leg without extreme stress. I cannot review as to the functionality of the gaiters as I have not worn them into the field. March 19, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Well Made, Too Small I wear a women's 10 and the XL does not fit over my plastic ice climbing or tele-ski boots. Too bad, as they would be great otherwise. January 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sizing is an issue for me They are surprisingly small, given the sizing guidelines. I will probably need to return them for the next size up. Otherwise, they are very well made with a very nice design. Material is very nice and the construction is excellent/ January 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great gaiters once you get the sizing right. Needed a new pair of gaiters and heard good things about the Apex. Based on sizes of previous gaiters I've owned I originally ordered a medium. They didn't come close to fitting over my Scarpa Inverno plastic boots, and barely fit over my Sportive Trango S. Bumped it up to a large, which barely fit over my plastic boots, but just fit over my Trangos. I'm 5' 8" and wear a 9.5 boot. I'm fine with a large, but feel that a an XL would be the best fit. Besides fit, they are a burly, very well made piece of gear. I've used them mostly on ice as well as just snowshoeing. They've remained crampon-wound free and have done a great job of keeping out all snow from my boots. December 19, 2013
