Rated 5 out of 5 by great headlamp This is the 2nd one we've purchased. The first one ended up at the bottom of the ocean (oops) during a sailing trip. Long battery life, bright light, January 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great at allowing bright light with hand free work This is the second one I have bought. The wife started utilizing the light at night when she would go out and check on goats the hand free ability was welcomed. She she has claimed one I needed another for me, we tried a cheap one but it did not last so I elected to buy quality Black Diamond. January 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Runner's Headlamp I recently purchased the Black Diamond Sprinter Headlamp and I am very impressed. The headlamp fits snug, does not move around and you cannot even tell you are wearing one. The light is bright and holds its position throughout the run. I can't imagine running in the dark without this device ever again. January 21, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wonderful Light I absolutely love this headlamp. It is lightweight, balanced and puts out a VERY usable light spread pattern. I mostly run on trails and this light is amazing at lighting up the way. The flood pattern is the perfect blend of wide angle and brightness. I have been on group night trail runs with others who have much brighter (in lumens) and much more expensive headlamps and have been told that I needed to move to the front because they couldn't see right because their shadow from my light was too distracting. (Which is surpising considering their lamps were pushing 200 lumens with mine at 75 lumens) As much as I LOVE this light, I do have a few minor complaints which knocked off one star in my review. One is the battery life. I can get a solid 5 hours out of it which is wonderful for MOST of my runs with it but in an overnight race like a 100 miler, this does not get me through the night. And being rechargeable only, once it is dead, you MUST switch lights .... there is no changing batteries. I have a Black Diamond Spot that serves as my backup light but I ALWAYS start out with my Sprinter first until it is absolutely too dim to use. I realize this is using it beyond what the light is designed for and as such, I can't fault it TOO much for this limitation. My second complaint is the red blinking light on the back. Running on trails, this light is not as necessary for safety as it is on the roads. I don't so much have an issue with it being there but rather that the default setting is for it to ALWAYS come on when the light is turned on. As such, I always turn it off as soon as I turn the light on in order to save that little bit of battery power for the main light. With those two complaints addressed, I STILL absolutely LOVE this lamp and will continue to run with it for MANY more miles :) January 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love this light This product gives off a great light that shows the potholes and icy spots for running all winter. I also use it for walking home from work in the dark and in the house if I need to look in a dark corner or lose power. I would like to say that Black Diamond stood behind their warranty. My 2 year old one broke a wire and they sent me a new one right off, no questions asked. I was so happy that I ordered another one while I was on the site to give as a Christmas present. The 2014 one appears to have a better wire design than my old one, so should not break again. January 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great with the retractable leash For walking the dog on dark winter mornings the flood beam has just the right spread to keep the critter visible on the long retractable leash. January 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for running Boston winters don't usually see much sun, so training for marathons often takes place in the dark. This headlamp is the perfect running buddy - its small, compact shape makes it effortless to wear and lights up everything in front of you keeping you safe from uneven terrain. The rear light adds no weight to the unit and is bright enough to be seen from a good distance away which adds to running safety. More comfortable when worn with a hat for a little padding, but still happy to wear it after 10 miles in the dark. Also great for night time/early morning stadium runs when the stadium lights aren't on. January 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sprinter Headlamp Review I had researched headlamps. This one came with good recommendations. While it was more expensive than over-the-counter varieties, the advantages are, very lite weight, very bright light, rechargeable battery, compact style, comfortable fit, and nice color/appearance.
