Rated 2 out of 5 by Paul Not a good bet for trail running.
Bought the Revolt as a secondary lamp to my BD Sprinter. The Revolt proved very disappointing for trail running. The second time I used it, though it was fully charged, dimmed on me about 15 minutes after turning it on. This was using the rechargeable batteries. Getting back to the trailhead was an adventure I wasn't planning on. I'll stick to the Sprinter for my runs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joel Great headlamp for frequent use.
I bought this headlamp for my early morning runs, before the sun comes up. I love that I can keep it on the charger and it's ready to go. I've used the spot and the wider side LEDs and like that I can customize my lighting to suit conditions. It's lightweight and find it does not bounce around. The switch is easy enough to use with gloves or mittens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cameron This headlamp has great options best of which is the rechargeable feature
I love how this headlamp has several options including the dimming feature and of course it is rechargeable. The life of the rechargeable batteries is not as long as others but you can't complain when you can charge it on your way to the crag or on your computer while watching breaking bad. My only complaint is that the red light does not dim. Wonderful headlamp so far.

I use this light every night and every morning. It is plenty bright and the re-chargeable batteries save many batteries from being tossed in the landfill. My only one issue is that it does not return to the last setting you were on when you turned it off. Everytime you turn it off and back on, it toggles from the spot to the proximity mode. This seems small but is quite annoying when you have to toggle back through the settings every single time you turn it on. If that one issue were fixed, this would be a 5-star rated product for me.

So nice to be able to charge off any USB source. However, wish the light ran off of two AAs, instead three AAA batteries. Would be nice if a short charging cord [retractable flat ribbon?] could be built-in and it was easier to 'feel' the rubberized on-off switch.

I bought this headlamp as a gift for a friend who rock climbs. I have the same headlamp but his story is pretty impressive. On the first climb in which he used this headlamp he was about 45 feet up when his head hit an overhang. The headlamp was knocked from his helmet and sent tumbling down the rock face, apparently self destructing as it advanced to the ground. When he got down he was able to find the headlamp, although the batteries had been ejected and were never recovered. He figured that that was the shortest lived gift he had ever had, but he decided to put some batteries in it and see if it worked. It works perfectly. Fully functional. No apparently internal damage. Amazing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Daryl great so far
I bought 6 of these for Sylvan Rocks Climbing guides and guest to use for early morning starts up Devils Tower. I like being able to have a few of them sitting around all charged up and ready to go. So far they have served us well. A better way to switch among the many choices of lighting options would be my only suggestion for improvement.

The Revolt headlamp is amazing. The battery life is impressive. The charging process is easy. The brightness of this headlamp is also impressive. I have taken it with me on my backpacking trips and have loved it!
