Rated 4 out of 5 by Ian Great light, BUT...
This light puts out a lot of light for it's size. However, I'm only giving it 4 stars because the battery pack on mine does not stay connected - if the light gets moved around it would flicker as the connection became intermittent. I solved this simply by folding over a thin piece of cardboard and putting it underneath the battery compartment cap, which solved the issue.
I'm mainly writing this review so if anyone else has the same issue, they will find that is is easily fixed.

I am really impressed with this light. I took it to the 18 Hours of Fruita MTB race. Car camping...Really lit up my tent, repair stand and cooking area while I fiddled with stuff. Throws a lot of light. I'll probably get another one!

I have not had the chance to test this lantern in the field. However, at a recent rave at my house, this lantern provided enough light to illuminate my entire living room. Well done BD.

I have used my Apollo Lantern countless times and it keeps performing as it did on day one. The battery life on it is pretty amazing.

The functions on this lantern aren't just gimmicks. The legs help get it a bit higher on a surface to have a bit more horizontal range, the dimmers are effective and the double-hook- clasp thing is definitely my favorite.

This product has litterally illuminated my dirtbag home. I like the dimming feature on this product and works well while on the road, either resting up my my rig or at base camp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicholas Great for the Campsite
Ideal for car camping and good for backpacking, the Apollo lantern lights up the campsite while you are setting up and illuminates your tent when you are ready to wind down for the evening. Use the Apollo lantern in camp and save your headlamp for the trail.
The lantern is durable although slightly bulky and can be set on the ground or hung inside your tent. On average, a new set of batteries will last 2-3 nights of regular use so bring an extra set of batteries, especially in cold weather.
