Rated 5 out of 5 by great pack this is a great little pack to have for climbing. the one thing i wasn't expecting was that main pouch was not as large as i suspected due to the fact that it has a good sized front pouch:) April 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the pack This pack is just the size I was looking for, for short day hikes. Can carry water, snacks, wallet, phone, towel swimsuit. The quality is great! But be warned if you want a pack with back padding this pack does not have it.. which was fine with me. April 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid great small or lead backpack. Extra pocket is nice for small items. I like that the hip belt is fixed on. February 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Little Pack! I used my partner's Bullet pack every now and again for a couple years, and had to purchase my own. The pack looks small, but can hold a surprising amount of stuff. This is an essential item for any multi-pitch trad climber, as it can hold a lightweight shell, nalgene, guidebook, snacks, and phone without being bulky. I love that a standard size nalgene fits perfectly laid across the bottom of the pack. It won't hold your rope, helmet, harness, and gear, but if you're able to rack up and sling the rope over your shoulder in the parking lot, you'll be glad you didn't have to pack in/potentially climb in a larger, bulkier pack. I also love the off-set front pocket zipper, since I usually sling it off one shoulder while at belay stations to grab something, and the zipper is never hard to reach. The only thing I'd like to see improved in the pack is the way the shoulder straps fit. I find that they feel like they're sliding down my shoulders sometimes if you don't use the chest strap, but when I so use the chest strap it completely eliminates the problem. Not terrible, but could be designed better for climbers. Overall, I'd recommend this pack for day hikes, multi-pitch climbs, and lead climbers who still want to bring a few items up on the rock with them. It can also be used as a small backpack for long drives, short days at school, or for everyday use. I use it all the time! Never feels too heavy, and holds everything I need for the day. Rated 1 out of 5 by Very disappointed I bought my first BD backpack in a store a year ago, was very happy with a purchase, and it still looks like new. Decided to order a larger backpack online with different color, so I ordered this backpack. It looked OK from the outside, but inside... there was no inner lining like on my other backpack, it had no pockets, everything looked crooked and untidy, and overall this backpack did not worth the money I paid for it. I don't know if this is an issue with just this particular line, or BD stopped caring about quality at all. Never again will I buy anything from their website, having once received a pig in a poke. I had to pay for the return shipping from my pocket, but got a refund fairly quickly. Thus, I'm very disappointed and would not recommend buying this backpack, it's not worth it. January 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by tough, light, comfortable Use this primarily for climbing, had to chose between Bullet and Shot, the small gear loops made the difference for me. Not sure which one would be more durable over several years, but seems able to withstand abuse. Will hold helmet, harness, device with some snacks and water, keys, wallet. Also can hold a 60m 10.2mm rope with a little space left for some snacks and phone, but not much else. Good for my daughter to carry her stuff while I carry the rest. December 31, 2014
