Rated 4 out of 5 by Good fit, quality construction I bought this helmet for backcountry skiing / climbing. While not a skiing helmet, this is much lighter and easier to pack in a day pack and it is cooler than an alpine style helmet. Being that backcountry skiing is a much more aerobic activity than lift served skiing regular alpine helmets are just too warm for me. So far this helmet meets the intent perfectly and will provide more protection for my melon than all those times that I left the ski helmet in the truck because it was too hard to pack. May 23, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Light Helmet I replaced my previous Petzl helmet with the vector and I am truly enjoying it. I do a lot of single, multi pitch and mountaneering and couldn't be happier with this helmet. It is really light and fits easily in my 35L pack. The headlamp buckles are perfect and properly positioned. The feature I like theb est however is how easy I can adjust the sizing on it. Now I don't have to fuss with my helpmet when I decide to take my beanie off or put it on. The fact that the design is very nice is a plus! May 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by One of the lightest helmets I have ever worn! So glad to have given this helmet a chance. The Vector helmet is by far the most comfortable helmet I have worn in 27 years of climbing for work and play. Great fit and great ventilation. Unexpected surprise is the UIAA approval, which is needed guiding for our AMGA Accredited company. May 2, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Light and Large I have a big old noggin. That is the primary reason I bought this helmet. My head is a full 24 inches in circumference. Most other helmets only go to 24 or 24.5. With a beanie on I need something larger and this fit the bill. I also really like how light it is, the less weight the better right? The adjustment system is adequate, but I wish it had the wheel you can turn to adjust rather than the adjustment on this helmet. It requires 2 hands to adjust and is not as easy as a wheel with gloves on. May 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Light, well vented but interfeers with sunglasses. I specifically bought this helmet for HOT days on multi pitch rock routes. For that reason alone, I purchased it in white. So far I like it, it vents really well...so well in fact, that I don't recommend ice climbing with it unless its a really warm day. I found it to be too ventilated for cold days of ice climbing - but great for hot days on rock! My only real complaint and the reason why I gave it 4/5 stars is due to the suspension system - the plastic piece that wraps tight around your head - I found it to interfere with my sunglasses. I feel like it was CONSTANTLY pushing my sunglasses off my face. I do feel that this helmet fits true to size and as other reviews stated, this helmet does get a bit dented when put into your pack or if it bumps against anything. Good helmet - but adjust the suspension system to make it more compatible with sunglasses. April 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fits amazing and super light! I love this helmet. It's one of the lightest, best fitting helmets I've ever had. It actually fits my huge head really well. I was worried about getting something too light that wouldn't keep me warm, but this one is perfect. If this helmet dies anytime soon,I'll immediately get another one. It even fits a thin beanie underneath well for those alpine starts or cooler days. March 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best brain bucket I've ever owned. I've never been in love with any of the previous climbing helmets that I have had, but the Vector is leaps and bound better than anything I've owned in the past. Stays put on my head while climbing, looking around, and even during those head/face smears that happen with thrutching around in offwidths. Great helmet. Recommended. January 10, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice, lightweight helmet Really like this product so far. Extremely light, very comfortable, and (for the most part) stays on your head while climbing/rappelling. Clips for the headlamp are a great dawn patrol feature. Exterior is susceptible to dents so don't pack it deep in the bag near sharp objects. August 1, 2014
