This helmet is so light, it is scary. Every time I go to pick it up, it just surprises me how little it weights. I have a small head and it can adjust down with no problem.

The most comfortable helmet I've tried. Far exceeds what I've tried from other brands from their lightweight styles. Magical.

I have a 7 1/8" head and the S/M helmet fits perfectly. It is so lightweight and comfortable I legitimately forget I'm wearing it. Best helmet I've worn.

I love the Vector but this thing is totally worth the extra cash! It's even lighter than the Vector and much more low-profile so you don't look like such a helmet dork. If you hit your head on as many things as I do, yours may acquire the occasional ding in it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jared It's like you're not wearing a helmet...
....but you are. Can't say how well it protects, and hope I never find out, but it's super comfortable.

I am a woman that hates high profile helmets. I started climbing with an Ecrin Roc years ago... ... have been using a BD Half Dome and hated the fit.
The Vapor is what girls want!
Great ventilation. Huge and comfortable size adjustability. Soft webbing feel on the chin strap. I can easily slip my pony-tail between the helmet and occipital strap that sits at the base of the skull.
Good job BD.
Spend the extra bucks and get this helmet. Like everyone else, I forget its on my head. I will wear it all day, which is great because I am usually busy teaching others, so I can naturally rolemodel one more safe practice in climbing at no inconvenience of comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pete Not perfect but still amazing!
My first helmet (plastic shell with webbing harness) was a beast of weight and bulk, and I avoided wearing helmets for sport climbing or hard trad for years. I bought my first Vapor about a year ago, and it was great -- crazy light, well ventilated, fit under a hood, could accommodate a thin fleece beanie. With the ventilation and weight of the Vapor, I couldn't come up with any excuses not to wear a helmet for everything.
My first Vapor, however, did have some issues. First, the adjusting system seemed to wear out over time because it would occasionally and spontaneously become quite loose. Second, the foam and plastic liner didn't withstand the repeated smashing of equipment into my pack.
I looked at lots of different helmets when it came time to replace my first Vapor, but the Vapor is still the best helmet on the market. I finally bought a second Vapor, and it has performed like a superstar. And, I'll try not to smash it into my pack (or get my head smashed during a fall) so that it lasts a bit longer than the first one.
