Description

With two Positron carabiners and a lightweight Dynex dogbone, the Black Diamond Positron Quickdraw is our top value in full keylock functionality. The light, smooth-clipping design eliminates snags whether you're cranking on sport routes or extending gear placements, and the integrated Straitjacket insert keeps the bottom biner in the optimal clipping position.

  • Straight-gate Positron on top, bentgate Positron on bottom
  • Dual keylock noses ease clipping and cleaning
  • 14 mm (.6 in) Dynex dogbone is light, durable, and easy to grab
  • Straitjacket insert keeps bottom carabiner properly oriented

Hot Forging vs. Cold Forging

HOT FORGING VS. COLD FORGING

We use two different forging methods to build carabiners—hot and cold forging. Each has its benefits and using both allows us to achieve the best possible shape, size and strength for each carabiner’s intended use. HOT FORGING, a process where both the rod stock and forge dies are heated, allows us to “move” the metal, creating more intricate shapes, such as our GridLock and Oz biners.

Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Work great strong and well made. A little discoloration where the carabeaner was on the bolt. Over all great I would buy them again. September 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Positron Quickdraw I'm not chincy, but I don't mind a good deal--thus the Positron is my favored QD. Great draws: full keylock convenience, snappy performance, and with a beefy feel that doesn't seem heavy, but inspires confidence. Maybe not the best for your alpine rack, otherwise these draws are a win/win. And the mocha color is sexy...at least hanging on me. May 20, 2013
