Rated 5 out of 5 by Jere Float up long routes with the Oz Carabiner
After replacing my other carabiners with the Oz I immediately noticed the weight savings. Add these carabiners to Dynex slings and this lightweight low bulk alpine draw is hard to beat.

Super lightweight, snag-free. What isn't to like?
My only beef is that the gate opening could be bigger.
I've seen complaints about the 20kN main axis strength, but that's still full strength rated. Your body will break from a fall before this thing does.
I'll definitely be buying a rack pack when I finally get a set of Camalots, these things are perfect for racking.

Sometimes I wonder why all carabiners are not snag-free. A logical upgrade from the neutrino. Still waiting to be able to order individual colors. There are better designs of the snag-free opening on the market but none that come close to the Oz on value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Charlie OZ or HoodWire?
I prefer the HoodWire. Both have the key feature of the Hoodwire technology. This biner is light and stuff but it feels more delicate that the HoodWire, that how it feels, of course they are comparably strong. But how gear feels in my hand and how it functions matters to me. So I chose a little more weight and the HoodWire because I think it feels better.
I like the size of the HoodWire and that it is more round and therefore better for hauling/lower friction(not sure if the engineers would agree with my last claim, but it could be true).
If your a weight weenee, this might be your dig.

Hoodwire nose + size + weight = one of the better biners out there. Perfect for racking cams and for use with slings. No snags on biner noses means faster, easier climbing, especially for the second.

I am very new to climbing and recently added these into my rack and can't comment enough about how easy they are to get on and off the wall or climbing equipment. As a climber just starting to lead routes, I cannot stress enough how important having equipment that works well. It's one more thing that I don't have to think about when clipping in.
Thanks for making a great product that keeps me safe and is very easy to use. No snags and minimal weight.

Oh so light yet oh so useful. Wide opening, no snagging, what a great biner. This or something just like this will eventually be on all of my alpine draws!! Thanks again BD!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LibeckiTheTimeisNow The only biner you need
These biners make up 90+ percent of my rack on every big expedition/first ascent, cragging, you name it.
I have used these for years and they are by far my favorite most versatile biner.
Light, sweet, work horse, you name it. Any weather, any condition, anywhere.
Thanks to whoever designed/created these.
