Description

A full set of all sizes of Stoppers on a Micron carabiner to protect everything from tip seams to finger cracks. Black Diamond Stoppers are an essential for every trad rack, designed with a transverse taper that permits sideways placements in flares and shallow seams. Anodized by size, they're quickly identifiable and rounded edges make for easy removal. Each Stopper is equipped with a durable, galvanized steel cable.

  • Durable aluminum heads and steel cables
  • Transverse taper is versatile in flares, constrictions and parallel cracks
  • Rounded edges for easy cleaning (smaller sizes are straight for better surface contact)
  • *Sizes 1 and 2 are for direct aid only

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cheap and Versatile These nuts are the first pieces of gear I reach for when climbing trad. I can protect any crack up to a fat finger crack, and the sideways placements extend the range even more. With the larger sizes, sideways placements feel just as solid as a standard placement. They're light weight, durable, and WAY cheaper than cams. If I have to bail off a route, I'd much rather leave a nut behind instead of a precious cam. One downside is that the really small sizes(1, 2, and 3) can be difficult to remove. For cracks that are too large for this set of nuts, Hexentrics are a cheap and solid option. I've found that Hexes size 6-10 cover cracks from where this set ends all the way up to fist cracks September 10, 2014
